Our Newbury shop is now open on Sundays from 11am – 4pm and Marlborough will follow suit on 11^th and 18^th December.

We were delighted to see the long awaited opening of the Newbury Parkway Shopping scheme on Thursday 27^th October. The scheme welcomes a number of new retail brands to the town, including Superdry, Paperchase, H&M, Hotel Chocolat, Lakeland and Mint Velvet, and will become an even bigger destination with the arrival of John Lewis at Home in Spring 2012. We have noticed a marked increase in customer traffic to Shakin’ The Tree as the dynamics of the town centre change, and overall Newbury will undoubtedly benefit from pulling in shoppers from further afield.

We have now been established as a retail brand in Newbury for a little over 2 years, and in Marlborough for 15 months. There is no question that opening a retail operation during a recession has been the biggest challenge of our careers, but the positive reaction and loyalty of our many customers during that period has made the long hours and sacrifices worthwhile. We are very fortunate to have loyal and dedicated staff and with their support we’ll move onward and upward!
